It’s hard to believe we are at the end of 2020. A year where we spent more time at home than ever! Decorating our home for the holidays this year brought me a lot of joy. It was fun to have something happy and exciting to look forward to. It took the house to a new level of cozy.
I wanted to keep things natural and inviting this year and used a lot of real greenery entertained into my faux pieces. It really took simple items to a whole new level once some real stems got in there. We did a bit of a new layout this year. I wanted to keep as much seating in this room as possible. By switching out the large leather chairs for these more stream lined chairs I was able to keep seating for 5 in this room.

Our Kavuus sofa that I designed has been the perfect piece in this family room. It just gets more comfortable as time goes on. I often get asked about having alight coloured sofa with young children and honestly? It’s not a problem. Even with all the extra snack and movie nights we have been having this sofa fabric cleans up like a dream. I had it treated with their amazing fabric protectant and it’s been holding up great.
I also switched out our rug in this room with this amazing Loloi rug from the new Chris Loves Julia collection and I love how the soft greens tie in with all the holiday greens I have added into this room! Cozy pillows, lots of layers make this space a place where we spend a lot of our time and I love it. Wishing you all a happy New Year!
