Mudroom Reveal

How excited are we today!! The time has finally come to share the mudroom reveal. This room was such a labor of love and much of that was shared over on my stories. If you missed it, it is all saved on a highlight. I am so over the moon excited to share that I partnered with Serena & Lily for this project. S&L has the most unique, high quality pieces that elevate a space and take it to the next level.

The mudroom consisted of so many projects the biggest one being painting all the trim and lower part of the wall. There were so many coats of paint needed in this tiny space but am so thrilled with how it turned out. The black I went with is SW Black Magic and the top is Sico Delicate White. The diy wall treatment on the lower part of the wall really took this little mudroom to the next level.

This created the perfect backdrop to the showstopper of the space which is the Serena & Lily Shore Bench.

If you want to see the mood board for this space you can check it out here. The goal was to create a moody, yet still bright and welcoming mudroom. A space that could handle day to day life and let’s be honest- hide the dirt. The diy wall treatment brought in so much depth and interest to the mudroom. This amazing paintable wall treatment wallpaper that was easy to install and gives the look of wood paneling. We topped it with a piece of 1×3 mdf trim and topped it with a 1×2 pieces of mdf to create a bit of a ledge.

This created the perfect backdrop to the showstopper of the space which is the Serena & Lily Shore Bench. This bench has been coveted for a long time over here and it pops perfectly against the diy wall treatment. The quality is unreal, it’s super comfortable and it’s just down right dreamy looking right?!

Design is always in the extra details and they items make all the difference.

Some other elements that I scored of the S&L website is this amazing linen lumbar pillow, door mat, door stopper and cute dipped stool! Design is always in the extra details and they items make all the difference. The dipped stool is perfect to sit, place a bag and would also look great with a plant on it. Pieces like this are so universal and can be used in many different areas throughout the home. This gingham mat is so adorable, it look amazing as is but is also great for layering. Think jute. A great door mat adds a welcoming touch and the texture of this door stopper is so perfect. This is the smaller size and it is still quite large. It also has a good weight to it.

These amazing wall pegs were a great find and provide so many opportunities for the kids to hang stuff up. Organization is so important in a small space and everyone has to be set up for success. Wall hooks everywhere make keeping things tidy easier. This amazing runner in front of the bench grounds the whole space and hides dirt wonderfully. Always keep rug color in mind in any space but especially a high traffic area. This space has completely transformed and I am so happy with the results. I added some additional items that caught my eye on the Serena & Lily website for you to shop below.

And why not look at a few before and afters of this space because you guys, I can’t even handle this transformation!!

Kind thoughts,

Lauren Elizabeth
