What To Bring For Baby To The Hospital

Usually once you get into the third trimester of your pregnancy you start thinking about what types of things you are going to need to bring to the hospital for baby when the big day approaches.  It can be challenging because you don’t know how long you will be in the hospital so you want to be prepared yet you don’t want to show up with a 50 pound bag full of baby stuff because, well, odds are you won’t use a lot of it.

With this being my 3rd baby I feel good about bringing the items I have outlined below and feel it covers all the essentials. It’s enough that you are prepared for a few days if your stay is a bit longer yet it’s also not a ton of stuff so that you can easily grab your diaper bag when its time to go and you have everything you need!

*Diaper Bag- I love this Lily Jade Rosie bag in Camel, it’s a great size and has backpack straps (gifted product)

*Lily Jade Packing Cases for easy organization (gifted product)

*2 Pacifers in different shapes, I have the Ryan & Rose Patpat and a Natursutton

*Pacifier Clip to clip on blanket to keep pacifier from falling on the hospital floor

*Baby nail clippers

*Baby Balm Saje Wellness

*Mini Diaper Cream Saje Wellness

*2 Soft Newborn hats

*Cozy Outdoor hat for leaving hospital (depending on weather)

*2 Newborn Sleepers with arms that cuff so baby can’t scratch themselves (Carters)

*2 0-3m Sleepers (You never know babies size!)

*Small pack of baby wipes

*4 Diapers

*1 Pair of baby socks

*2 Swaddles

*1 Cozy car seat blanket

*Infant car seat- Chicco Keyfit30 (gifted product)

I love how the inside of the Rosie bag has a tote that comes right out for easy cleaning and packing, I am using 2 of the packing cases for the small items and also his clothes. Everything else fit perfectly in the organized tote pockets.

Our car seat is the Chicco Keyfit 30 and is super light weight and nice and padded for baby. I love that it comes with the head supports that you can easily remove as baby outgrows them.

I hope this helps some of you out that are struggling with what to bring with you to hospital for baby, I will also be sharing my hospital bag and what I am bringing for myself as well so stay tuned for that!

Kind thoughts,

Lauren Elizabeth
