Making Time For Yourself

I feel like I talk about how busy it is being a mom a lot but seriously guys, if you have little ones you know how demanding being a momma can be! Not that I would have it any other way but of course I like to take a little time to myself to relax. I have a few go to things that I feel like help keep me feeling like myself.

I love to take some time and paint my nails a fresh colour that makes me feel good and giving those mother hands a little love is so worth it! I always feel so much more put together when my hands are looking pretty with some polish. Secondly I try to put on an outfit that it comfortable but also makes me feel good.

Guys I know the struggle when you are at home with kids and how easy it is to fall into pyjama day everyday but I feel so much more productive when I take the time to get ready for the day. 

I typically reach for something that is stylish yet practical, usually jeans and a cozy sweater. Also one of my all time favourite things to wear these days are my Birdies Slippers, guys these are no joke and are seriously so comfy and not to mention really pretty. As funny as it sounds these slippers make we want to get dressed every day because they are just the cherry on top to any outfit.

Another thing I find helps me unwind is sitting down with my favourite magazine and a hot beverage and just browsing through it getting inspired. I find this to be such a great way to relax and takes my mind away from they craziness of the day and all the things I need to get done around the house (think never ending laundry for starters, am I right?).

I feel like it is so important to take a little time for yourself and do some things that make you feel like yourself and not in mom mode all the time.

To me it's important to stay in contact with the woman I was before I had kids and by taking time to do some of the things I enjoyed before becoming a mom helps me be my best self.
