Project Blare June- Master Bedroom Reveal

As posted in the Glitter Guide

Today is the final reveal of the three part series of the space I designed for Lesley over at blarejune.com. In case you missed it, here is part one and two so make sure you check them out after this! Today is the master bedroom and I have to say this space turned out so dreamy and exactly as I was hoping. We kept the most pieces that Lesley already owned for this room, it was just a matter of adding in some new items to freshen things up and styling her existing pieces into the new design. The headboard, lamps, fireplace, art and vanity where some of the things that she previously had and with the addition of new nightstands, a dresser and accessories the space was completely transformed.

This fireplace is special to Lesley so I really wanted to find a way for it to work in the design. By bringing it into the bedroom, adding a modern mirror over top with that amazing cactus plant it really elevated the look and made it feel more cohesive.

I wanted to bring in some warmth with the nightstands and when I spied these two I knew they would be perfect. The scale was just what I needed and by swapping out the hardware for some cute pineapples Lesley had picked up in her travels it made them feel more personalised. I wanted to keep the nightstands pretty simple in terms of decor, less is always more when it comes to your bedside tables.

As I mentioned Lesley had all of this art already it was just a matter of styling it in the best way possible so that it fit in. The three photos over the bed look perfect and bring a nice pop of colour and focal when you walk into the space. The two larger pieces went on the other side of the room over the dresser to break things up.

This hanging chair is one of my favourite things and is just the perfect place to curl up with a coffee and a book on those mornings you just don’t feel like leaving home.

I love having a couple landing spots for odds and ends in a bedroom so the two wire chairs from Structube worked perfect, their small scale and open construct keep things feeling light but give Lesley a place to put things down as soon as she walks into the room. The large scale dresser gives her more storage space and is the perfect place to display pretty accents that make it feel unique.

Well there you have it! I hope you all enjoyed this series, designing this space was such a lovely process and it has been so rewarding seeing the vision of the design come to life- and also a very happy client! Once again thank you Lesley, and also amazing photographer Nicole who did such a fantastic job capturing all the details that were so meticulously planned.
