One Room Challenge Master Bedroom- Week 2

Alrighty guys so we are one week into the One Room Challenge and I am so excited! If you missed week one you can check it out here! There is some great progress this week but also some set backs but we will get to that at the end!

So first off I want to share with you this amazing fiddle leaf fig tree and planter that I scored at Homesense! Guys when I saw this my heart literally skipped a beat I have been pinning how to DIY one of these planters for months and to find one already attached to the fiddle leaf fig tree of my dreams? Well you can just imagine my excitement!

Also the bed is upholstered and oh my goodness guys it turned out freakin amazing! I am obsessed, the fabric is from one of my favourite shops Tonic Living. She seriously carries only the best fabrics and prints and I challenge you to check out her site and not want everything you see! The fabric is the “Victoria, Oyster” and is the most beautiful neutral shade. It almost reads between a soft taupe/grey/cream if that makes sense and the best part is..no yellow undertones!

So right now I don’t have the wings attached and I am loving the clean, modern look it gives the bed. The wings have also yet to be re-upholstered because they are going to be a little more tricky then the rest of the bed was to do so I will continue to update you guys on that!

Also the throw pillows for the bed are just gorgeous- I am so in love with these babies and the quality is just amazing! Without giving too much away here is how they look in person and oh my goodness, I legit can’t stop staring at them and to top it off they blend perfectly with the bed fabric and I can’t wait to see them pop on the bed with the white feature wall and bedding.

Amazingness. Just amazingness.

Ok so now for this weeks set back, if you read my blog regularly you may remember the marble contact paper I did here on the nightstands. Well I still love the look of it however I was finding it to be a little too loud for the vibe I am going for so I decided to remove it. Well…let’s say I should have removed it a little more gently because this is what I was left with

I know right, terrible. So note to self only contact paper pieces that I never plan on removing it from. So now lets add re-finishing the night stands to my lovely to-do list. So here is where we are at:

-Paint wall white and build board and batten feature wall

-reupsholster the bed

-rug

-pillows for bed

-lamps for nightstands

-ceiling fixture

-re-finish nightstands

-get art and frames

-juju hat

-moroccan pouf

-mirror for dresser

-fiddle leaf fig tree

-style the space/dresser

To check out all the rest of the participants progress chick here!

Kind thoughts,

Lauren Elizabeth
