I hope my fellow Canadians enjoyed their long weekend and thanksgiving dinners, I know I sure did and I pretty much needed to be rolled to bed. Well that may be a slight exaggeration but I ate way too much turkey as per usual.
So today I thought I would switch things up and share 5 facts about me, with thanksgiving having just passed, along with feeling so thankful for my family and friends I am also thankful for all of you! My loyal readers that have really become an extension of my family, I love all the people I have met through this platform and I really look forward to connecting with you. So I thought I would share a little bit more about myself to spice things up, so without further ado…here we go:
1. I am currently enjoying the last couple weeks of my 20’s because at the end of the month I turn the big 3-0. I have to say, turning 30 really doesn’t bother me in the least, I am not the type of person to get to caught up on the number and have always believed it’s about how you feel!
2. I am a middle child. I have two brothers and growing up being the only girl definitely had its perks (still does haha).
3. My favourite exercise to do is running, I love just being able to put on a pair of sneakers and hit the pavement, I know it’s not supposed to be the best for your joints but it is such a great way to clear your mind, get your heart rate up and just feel good. I actually ran my first half marathon after I had my first son back in 2012 with my mom (yep that’s correct me and my mother ran a half marathon together!) and it was such an amazing, rewarding experience.
4. If you follow me on Instagram (@houseofhiredesigns) it is no shock that my favourite beverage is coffee. However, to go along with that coffee I love a good sweet treat and that is seriously my vice. I could have chips in the house for weeks but cookies? You bring cookies in here and you best get out the way…quick.
5. One of my pet peeves is the banana sound, which is basically the sound of someone eating a banana really loudly. Something about that mashing sound is like nails on a chalkboard to me haha. Strange I know but now that I have brought the sound to your attention you will notice it!
